Solutionaires is a series of story book APPS that blend science, art and magic, inviting participants to join the quest to restore our planet.

The mission of the first interactive APP is to uncover the identities of seven "Solutionaries" (climate change heroes) who have solutions that can change the world.

Written by award winning playwright Kristin Carlson and illustrated by award winning filmmaker and environmental educator Carolyn M. Scott. Follow Lily, a ten-year-old girl in who is on a quest to save the Dartmoor Warbler and its one egg. At the Warbler’s request Lily goes on a mission to find seven climate heroes who have solutions that could collectively solve climate change. Clues to the identities of the heroes are hidden in this beautifully illustrated APP.

The Solutionaries were chosen from a list of over 100 individuals nominated by leading environmentalists, the seven Solutionaries identities will remain a mystery until the children discover them.

Recommended for children 7-12 years old. This entertaining educational experience employs the SOLE method pioneered by Dr. Sugata Mitra, 2013 TED Prize winner, who uses Big Questions to have children explore, share and open their minds to a world of wonder.

This is both an educational and entertaining storybook app.

Designed for elementary and middle school children and their families to explore climate change solutions, this first-of-its-kind interactive app takes viewers on a quest to discover seven “Solutionaries” (climate change heroes) who have implemented strategies to solve climate change. Collectively their real world solutions could save our planet.

Participants will find clues to the identities of the seven Solutionaries hidden throughout the eBook. The Solutionaries will remain a mystery until participants figure out the clues hidden in the story and the illustrations.

Internationally recognized artists have created one of a kind art works "treasures" which are dedicated to seven climate heroes who are implementing solutions to solve the climate crisis. Some of the treasures, creative play experiences and interactive screens will go on display at several museums and art galleries beginning January 2015. Please contact us for a list of venues and dates. The identity of the heroes will remain a secret until the children who participate in this interactive adventure discover them. Internationally acclaimed author Margaret Atwood and celebrated artists: Lily Yeh, Mac Adams, Fran Forman, Giulio Menossi, Mia Tavonatti, Marie Gibbons and Ron Seivertson are among the artists who are participating. Solutionaries is a series of interactive climate change educational applications for young people. The mission of the project is to educate and engage a wide audience in exploring, sharing and mapping climate change solutions. The series is being developed by a small team of award winning creatives and environmental educators. The collaborative game play allows children to work together to discover a new world of climate change solutions, from cars that run on air in Paris to wind machines made in someones back yard.
